This week, we’re celebrating Courtney’s 6-year anniversary with the firm.
As the Intake Paralegal, Courtney handles all incoming inquiries from potential clients, gathering the pertinent information needed to assess case viability, and works closely with Deb Tonelli, CLAW’s presuit attorney, in ushering new clients through the case initiation process.
“For most of our clients, Courtney is the person with whom they first interact,” says firm founder Dave Christensen. “She has really leaned into her role at the front line, where she presents with care, compassion, and competency – she is a great example of our client-first commitment.” Serving in this capacity, Courtney gets to know clients personally and enjoys building relationships with them that endure beyond the intake process. Often, clients well into the lengthier litigation phase of their case still reach out to her as an additional touchpoint – and that’s one of the things she loves most about her job.
Courtney also handles all things IT for the firm, which includes procurement and set-up for new hires, and troubleshooting when necessary to keep the firm’s systems up and running at all times. “I enjoy challenges and diversity in my work,” says Courtney. “Each new prospective client delivers just that, and brings an opportunity to make an authentic connection to serve them better.”
On a personal level, Courtney keeps busy with keeping fit. She is a certified yoga instructor whose workouts also include fitness and strength training and boxing. She enjoys crime novels, crafting cocktails (especially Moscow Mules), and hanging out with her Mini-Aussie-Beagle pup, Bentley, and a close group of friends. In her spare time, Courtney supports and engages with the community by volunteering with the VFW, as she comes from a long line of family veterans.
Congratulations on your anniversary, Court, from your CLAW family!
