Today, we are celebrating the women of CLAW – “Sisters Doin It for Themselves”
International Women’s Day was created to celebrate all things women and their achievements across the continents — focusing on the contributions they’ve made to social, economic, cultural, and political advancements. And at Christensen Law, our team of strong, independent women makes it happen every day – at work, at home, and in our communities.
The CLAW tribe is fierce and highly accomplished, bonded by a common goal to care for others. There to offer a shoulder, to help carry a burden, or to pick each other up in tough times – and always ready to laugh, dance, or celebrate – the women of CLAW personify sisterhood at its best. “I’ll take that lineup any day,” says attorney Tom Economy.
In some businesses, a tight-knit group can be hard to assimilate into for new employees. Not so at Christensen Law. “When I began working here, it was immediately apparent that taking care of female employees was a top priority for management. It was a refreshing change to know that caring for family and maintaining a healthy work-life balance was at the forefront of the firm’s culture,” says Kay-Lynn Chartier, who joined the firm in 2020 as the social media manager. “The women I work with have been welcoming and eager to collaborate with me on creative projects. On International Women’s Day, I am grateful for the support I feel in the workplace.”
As a firm, we #ChooseToChallenge to empower women, support diversity and gender equality, and raise awareness about bias issues in today’s society. “We embrace and practice the principles of gender equality in all respects,” says founder Dave Christensen. “It is a necessity in today’s world; it’s just the right thing to do.”
Today and every day we honor the women who continually power our firm forward and stand beside the activists, leaders, and change-makers working every day to build an equal world. Join us as we celebrate all women’s achievements.
