Michelle has been with Christensen Law for 12 years, starting as firm administrator and senior legal assistant to David Christensen and Sarah Stempky Kime, and one of the original team members when the firm launched in 2014. She has recently transitioned to the role of Training Implementation Specialist, an area of specialization for which she has a great passion. Handling the majority of onboard training for new employees, she also ensures on-going development and training on systems and processes within the firm.
“What I love most about working at Christensen Law is that we care about our clients and work well as a team to make sure we’re doing the very best to ensure our clients are happy with the results at the end. We try to take a very stressful situation and be a support system for the people we represent throughout the entire process.”
She began her legal career in 2000 with a small law firm in Big Rapids as a receptionist and transcriptionist while in graduate school, and with a PI firm in White Lake as a legal assistant, paralegal, and supervisor before joining up with Dave and Sarah. During her career, she has worked in many areas of the law, including Auto Negligence, No-Fault, Medical Malpractice, Criminal, Divorce, Child Support/Custody, Civil Rights, Employment, Workers Compensation, and Social Security Disability.
A metro Detroit resident since 2003, Michelle currently lives in Commerce Township with her husband, two children, and two energetic dogs. She enjoys traveling with her family, and supporting her teenagers’ involvement in school and their many activities, including cross country and marching band.
