6th Annual Distracted Driving Awareness Scholarship Contest

This year, we received many really wonderful submissions — from funny to factual to highly technical and socially relevant — and they all met the challenge of raising awareness of the dangers of distracted/drunk/impaired driving.  The CLAW team thoroughly enjoyed our movie watch-party, complete with popcorn and candy, as we evaluated the submissions and chose a shortlist and winner.

AND THE WINNER IS: JOSEF HOBSON

A Wichita State University freshman enrolled in the School of Art, Design & Creative Industries, Joe will be majoring in filmmaking starting this fall.  We were captivated by his ability to visually convey such an impactful message effectively and succinctly. As the 19th c. English writer Martin Tupper once said, “Well-timed silence hath more eloquence than speech.”

Our gratitude goes out to all who entered and helped raise awareness of the dangerous practice of distracted driving among young drivers.
