Courtney joins the firm as a litigation paralegal with more than 10 years of experience supporting attorneys and clients through every stage of a case. Her background includes drafting motions and discovery, managing subpoenas, handling e-filing and docketing across multiple courts, coordinating with medical providers, and keeping complex caseloads organized and moving forward. She also brings valuable operational experience, having helped with the establishment and administrative setup of a law firm.
Courtney is especially drawn to work that helps people through difficult circumstances with empathy, clarity, and strong boundaries. That service-minded approach has shaped both her legal career and her academic path, as she is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at Tulane University, with a specialization in disaster and collective trauma. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Oakland University in Sociology, providing a foundation of caring that supports her client focused work here at Christensen Law.
A Michigan native, Courtney enjoys crocheting, reading thriller and fantasy novels, walking her German Shepherd rescue Goose, spending time outdoors, and cheering on Michigan sports teams with her husband. She also cares deeply about community advocacy, animal rescue, and creating positive systemic change that will improve people’s everyday lives.
